Questions
Frequently asked questions
How much does container storage cost near Oxford?
£150/month for a 10ft container, £250/month for 20ft, and £450/month for 40ft. There's currently an early-bird rate on all sizes — 12 months for the price of 10.
What sizes are available right now?
Current availability: one 10ft, two 20ft and one 40ft container, with more stock arriving as demand grows.
How secure is the storage yard?
The yard is gated, covered by CCTV, and has on-site, live-in security — someone is on the estate around the clock, not just cameras.
Can I get a van or lorry right up to my container?
Yes — there's a tarmac road straight to your container (no muddy field), a dedicated hardstanding parking spot alongside it, and room for lorries to turn and manoeuvre.
Where exactly is Tysall Farm Estate, and how do I get there?
Tysall Farm Estate, Lane End Farm, Mill Lane, Oxford OX3 0QF — three miles from Oxford, straight off the A40, with direct access from the road.
Is the monthly price all I pay, or are there hidden fees?
You'll always know exactly what you're paying for and why — no catches. Lighting is included as standard; electricity is available on request.
How do I book a container?
Message us on WhatsApp with the size you need — we'll confirm availability and get you booked in.
What are your access hours?
Standard access is Monday–Friday, 7am–7pm, and weekends 10am–4pm. Need to get in outside those hours — an early trade start, for example? Just let us know in advance and we'll arrange it.
Is there a minimum rental period, or a long-term agreement?
No minimum rental period at launch — you're free to leave with one month's notice.
Will my container ever be blocked in by other deliveries?
No — every container has its own dedicated parking spot directly in front of it, so it's always accessible. Your container, your parking spot.
Do I need my own insurance?
Yes — you'll need your own contents insurance for anything you store.
Can I store a vehicle, or anything flammable?
Vehicles are welcome. Flammable items are allowed too, but please let us know in advance. Otherwise the space is open to personal storage, house moves or trade use — no other restrictions.
Do I need to leave a key with the estate?
You supply your own padlock, but we ask for one spare key for emergencies (fire, or an authority-required inspection). Spare keys are kept in a coded lockbox at the farmhouse, not labelled to match your container, for security.
What exactly is included in the price?
The price covers the container itself, delivery, and motion-sensor lighting inside and out. You'll need to bring your own padlock, and moisture control is available at your own cost if you'd like extra protection for sensitive items.
Is the yard lit at night?
Yes — solar-powered motion-sensor lights outside your container light up automatically as you approach, so there's no need for headlights or a torch, plus a battery-powered motion-sensor light just inside the door. Replacing the interior battery to keep it running is down to you.
Is VAT added to the price?
We're not currently VAT registered, so the price you see is what you pay — worth locking in now with the early-bird rate (12 months for the price of 10) before that could change.
